The Colorado Engineer is a student-run publication based at the University of Colorado Boulder (CU). We have been reporting on the “latest and greatest” from the engineering, science, and technology community since 1904. We were there for the Model T, the jet engine, the integrated circuit, the IBM PC, the iPod—and we will continue to cover the future of human innovation. Today, we operate with a staff of approximately ten students, and publish the magazine seasonally. Our readership extends to over 8,000 individuals, reaching students at the University, graduates, doctoral candidates, researchers, professors and professionals on and off our campus. With the recent creation of our website, we hope to reach a brand new audience of non-CU individuals as well. If you are joining us for the first time today, we welcome you and hope that your return often! Our magazine also has been recognized numerous times at the Engineering College Magazines Associated Conference for excellence in many different categories, including writing, design, and overall quality of publication. In sum, the staff of CEM has received six first place awards from the association and countless other honorable distinctions. Thank you for taking your time to visit our little publication, and we invite you to explore our website!
